Threads is now displaying Fediverse contents in their feed

Threads by Instagram, by Meta, now includes posts from across the Fediverse in the dedicated tab. Link to the information is here.

Yeah, it's nice language that Meta said it's "easier" to see the posts from the Fediverse now. The language sounds like the... err... nice "gateway" to the Fediverse, like Meta or Threads is being the hero here, lol, introducing us to the Fediverse. Or a gateway to the Fediverse. Or whatever you think it is.

Let me tell you the other context. There are so many Fediverse servers that have blocked Meta and Threads Fediverse "servers". Here (FediPact) is the link to anti-Meta FediPact. They said on the website:

"Nobody needs a long-winded wall of text explaining why Meta is bad anyway. It's just a known fact. This is Fedi (Fediverse), after all. But I underestimated people's capacity and tolerance for bu•••••t lol."

Let's take a look at my reason why I am now going to block these Meta Fediverse servers and content fetchers.

Me:

"Because I don't agree for me and my data to be Meta's product or featured product. I, as a human being, have the right to assert my sovereignty over all of my data."

So, I am not going to feed Meta and Threads the self-sufficiency while it's my mum, my family, and I pay for these hosting services and resources, but Meta, in an exploitative way, earns more than the rest of the world — hungry, food is scarce, mental health and psychotherapy seem like privileges rather than basic needs. And Meta can easily gather my data just like that, to be featured in their feed? Without me getting anything in return, not even 1 Malaysian ringgit.

I want to block Meta server as well. How?

If you're an admin of your Mastodon server or of any Fediverse software server implementation, you can try to take a look at this website; it is called "Oliphant.Social Mastodon/Fediverse Blocklists". Scroll down and look for the hyperlink to their block list CSV import file, "Meta Domains Blocklist".

Conclusion

Don’t know what more to say. All I feel is hurt because of the inequality, inequity, injustice, and Elon Musk told their audience that empathy is people's biggest weakness. Narcissism overload.
